Rechard Serenio (Chad)

Rechard Serenio, known as Chad, is a Mechanical Engineer and Estimator at Purple Engineering, the company behind Purple Heat Exchangers. He is a registered mechanical engineer with 15 years of experience and prepares estimates across Purple's range, including heat exchangers and thermal equipment.

Before joining Purple, Chad worked as an Application Engineer, a Design and Estimate Engineer and a Technical and Product Manager, supporting a wide range of products and global business clients. His specialist background is in the design and estimating of HVAC and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, together with product management and facilities management.

HVAC and refrigeration systems are built around heat transfer, so that thinking carries across. Estimating a heat exchanger properly means working through the duty, the fluids, flow rates, inlet and outlet temperatures, allowable pressure drop, materials and configuration, whether that is a plate heat exchanger or a custom shell and tube unit. Chad's design and estimating background suits that level of detail, so customers receive quotes that are accurate and properly specified.

Chad studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technological University of the Philippines on a DOST-SEI scholarship, graduating in 2009, and passed the Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination the same year. He joined Purple Engineering in 2023.
